Apartment Resident Event Ideas For November 2021
As we enter the holiday season, give your residents something to be thankful for with fun-filled events. If you need help coming up with events, take a look at our apartment resident event ideas for November 2021.
Give Thanks Day – With the Thanksgiving holiday upon us, we often think about all that we are thankful for. Invite your residents to a Thanksgiving-style potluck where they can share their holiday spirit with their neighbors. You can even set up an arts and crafts station for the younger residents, where they can write down what they are thankful for on colorful paper turkeys, and hang them up in the common area.
Coat Drive – In many places, temperatures start to drop in November. For those less fortunate, this temperature drop can be dangerous. Consider working with a local shelter to organize a coat drive where residents can donate old coats, hats, gloves, etc. to those in need.
Turkey Trot – Plan a turkey trot for residents in honor of Thanksgiving. This gives residents a chance to get outside, exercise, and socialize with other residents. You can also set up an area with beer and snacks for runners to enjoy after the race.
November’s “National Day” Celebrations
Every month we highlight “National Days” that make for great apartment resident events and activities. All of these come from the National Day Calendar and are a great reason to have an event or activity for your apartment residents!
National Authors Day on November 1st: Set up a little free library in your apartment complex. Encourage residents to leave books by their favorite authors so that other residents can enjoy them. In honor of the holiday, you could also arrange for a local author to come speak to your residents.
National Doughnut Day on November 5th: Celebrate this delicious holiday with doughnuts for all! Set up a table with doughnuts from local bakeries and invite your residents to mingle and enjoy a sweet treat!
National Take a Hike Day on November 17th: Encourage your residents to explore the great outdoors on National Take a Hike Day. Provide them with maps of local hiking trails or organize a sign-up for guided group hikes.
